Temecula Valley Astronomers

The Temecula Valley Astronomers is a local group that was started to bring people together who had an interest in learning and appreciating more about the universe in which we live, as well as enjoying the spectacular sights in the sky. Our members range in experience from novices to seasoned observers, but they all share a common bond: an active interest in the night sky and a desire to promote the enjoyment of amateur astronomy.

Whether you're a seasoned observer or just interested in learning more about the night sky, visit one of our meetings or star parties and join the fun.

• Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at the Rancho California Water District (42135 Winchester Rd., Temecula, CA) and include guest speakers, member presentations, raffle drawings and refreshments. (Meetings begin at 7:30 PM. The July, Sept., and Dec. meetings are often held as a potluck at a club member's home.)
• Guest speakers range from professional, on the cutting edge of astronomical and space science research, to local amateurs.
• The TVA is available for school and group presentations and viewing sessions. Please contact us for more information.
• Star parties are held at least once a month (weather and circumstances permitting), and sometimes more frequently. Guests are always welcome and are invited to use our equipment (we love to share). Just bring warm clothes, a hat, and an active curiosity.
• The TVA publishes the monthly Temecula Valley Astronomer newsletter for its members.

Amateur astronomy is a hobby that can be enjoyed by everyone. There is a lifetime of excitement in discovering what lies beyond the horizon.
